HIPAA & Health Information
Last updated: May 20, 2026
Acurist.AI works in a healthcare context, and protecting health information matters to us. This page explains, in plain language, how health information is handled across the Acurist website and the Acurist clinical platform.
This website does not collect protected health information
The marketing pages at acurist.ai are designed so that they do not collect protected health information (PHI). The forms on this Site — trial signups, the Health Systems ROI Calculator, demo and contact requests — collect business contact details such as name, work email, organization, and role. They do not ask for, and are not intended to receive, individual health information.
The Alzheimer’s Risk Profile runs in your browser
The interactive Alzheimer’s Risk Profile and related self-assessment tools on this Site process your answers within your own web browser to generate your results. Those responses are not transmitted to or stored by Acurist through the Site. If you choose to share your results with a clinician or with Acurist through a separate channel, that sharing is governed by the applicable agreement and notice for that channel.
The MCI Screen clinical platform
When the MCI Screen and related Acurist tools are used by physicians, health systems, payers, or research organizations to assess patients, identifiable health information may be created and processed. In those settings, Acurist works with provider and partner organizations under written agreements — including Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) where required by HIPAA — and applies administrative, technical, and physical safeguards intended to protect that information. Healthcare organizations using the platform should refer to their Acurist agreement and BAA for the controlling terms.
Security practices
- Encryption of data in transit and at rest;
- Role-based access controls and authentication;
- Audit logging and documentation to support accountability;
- Business Associate Agreements available to covered-entity partners.
Requesting the formal Notice of Privacy Practices
Patients and partner organizations who need Acurist’s formal Notice of Privacy Practices or a Business Associate Agreement can request it by contacting us at support@acurist.ai or 540-878-6754.
For how the website itself handles non-health information, see our Privacy Policy.
